The “Dyplom 2017” Biennale is already the 13th edition of the event that’s important for the art education in Poland. This year, in four Polish cities (Rzeszów, Częstochowa, Lublin, and Bydgoszcz) the audiences will have the chance to appreciate the effects of artistic endeavours of students of art high schools.
The organisers of the Exhibition of Awarded Diploma Works are: Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Centre for Art Education, Municipal Gallery bwa in Bydgoszcz, Leon Wyczółkowski State Complex of Art Schools in Bydgoszcz. It’s an interesting confrontation of art schools from the region and the whole of Poland. The interdisciplinary exhibition presents the achievements of young artists, showcases the diverse subjects and artistic means, from traditional graphic and photo techniques to spatial forms and the latest digital technologies, among them film and animation.
The Municipal Gallery bwa in Bydgoszcz will present diploma works by students of the secondary art schools of Northern and Western Poland: from Koło, Poznań, Szczecin, Zielona Góra, Włocławek, Grudziądz, Gdynia, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Gryfice, Koszalin, and Bydgoszcz. This year, the Bydgoszcz high school is going to present the works of its students at the Gallery of the Library of the Kazimierz Wielki University. The diploma works to be presented include book covers and illustrations. Organising the exhibition in the gallery is aimed at solidifying cooperation of the school with the university library.
