About the competition
In 2024, the All-Polish Leon Wyczółkowski Painting Competition will be held in Bydgoszcz for the sixth time. The competition is for Polish painters, and its goal is to promote modern painting and to popularize knowledge about the outstanding artist – the patron of the competition – Leon Wyczółkowski, who was closely associated with Bydgoszcz.
Main organiser: Bydgoszcz District of the Association of Polish Artists.
Co-organiser: the Municipal Gallery bwa in Bydgoszcz.
Partners: Municipal Centre of Culture in Bydgoszcz, Leon Wyczółkowski District Museum in Bydgoszcz., Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology.

Timetable
– Send images of paintings from March 16 to April 2, 2024 to the e-mail address: konkurswyczolkowskiego24@gmail.com together with proof of payment (80 PLN) or to the address of the Bydgoszcz District of Association of Polish Artists, Plac Wolności 7, 85-004 Bydgoszcz.
– Pre-selection of works for the final exhibition by April 30, 2024.
– Submission of selected works by May 11, 2024 (8am-3pm)
– Selection of prize-winning works by May 21, 2024
– Vernissage July 6, 2024, exhibition until September 1 2024 at the Municipal Gallery bwa in Bydgoszcz.
– Deadline for collection of works after the exhibition October 24, 2024.

Awards
– First prize – founded by the President of Bydgoszcz – 20,000 PLN
– 2nd prize – 10,000 PLN
– 3rd prize – 8,000 PLN
– Prize of the President of the Bydgoszcz District of the Association of Polish Artists in the form of an individual exhibition at the Wspólna Gallery in Bydgoszcz
