Jerzy Riegel is most often referred to as the “doyen of Bydgoszcz photography”. In the documentary – apart from the autobiographical part, statements of representatives of several generations of photographers and photography enthusiasts enchanted by Riegel’s photographs – there will be people convinced of at least the nationwide dimension of the work of the Brda Master. Many interviewees see and appreciate not only the artistic skills of the photographer, but also see him as a charming bon vivant, the “good spirit” of the city.
