The lecture “Street fashion of the 1970s and 1980s” provides a fascinating insight into the development of youth fashion against the background of history in communist Poland. The need to express oneself through fashion, lifestyle and music culminates in the extraordinary 1970s and 1980s. The lecture is illustrated with numerous photographs from the era, depicting what was present on city streets, youth rallies organised outside the system, or the music festival in Jarocin. During the meeting, we will learn about the idols of the time and their influence on fashion. Filled with authentic experiences and anecdotes, the lecture will be a very interesting journey through such an important element of the street as its fashion shaped by young people and their tastes.
