Art in the High Noon -A series of meetings devoted to art and culture in a broad sense, addressed to people aged 60+.

From May 9th to 18th, the 22nd edition of Millennium Docs Against Gravity took place in cinemas in Warsaw, Wrocław, Gdynia, Poznań, Katowice, Łódź and Bydgoszcz. In over two decades, it has become the second largest documentary film festival in Europe, just behind the IDFA festival in Amsterdam. The unforgettable film journeys have traditionally been accompanied by meetings with the filmmakers and protagonists, and debates around important themes presented on screen. Each year, there is no shortage of new thematic sections in the programme, which address issues of particular importance to male and female filmmakers over the past 12 months. The festival keeps its finger on the pulse, sensing trends emerging in the documentary industry. At the June workshop, we will meet the coordinator of the Bydgoszcz edition, Remigiusz Zawadzki. We will talk about the verdict of the Bydgoszcz jury and the condition of contemporary documentary from the perspective of the festival screenings. During the meeting we will also watch excerpts from selected documentaries.
